 Established in 2001 by visionary entrepreneur-turned-philanthropist Mr. G. Gopalan, Akshaya Trust is a distinguished non-profit organization headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. With over two decades of service, the Trust has become a beacon of hope, addressing two of society’s most pressing challenges: the care of abandoned senior citizens and the education of underprivileged children.

Our guiding mission, “Propelling the young. Protecting the old,” reflects an unwavering commitment to nurturing the vulnerable and empowering the next generation.

  • Elder Care Homes Dignified living for 400+ destitute seniors across seven free homes, with nutritious meals, preventive medical care, festival celebrations, and complete support for bedridden residents.
  • Akshaya Vidyalaya A free English-medium school for 500+ children, guided by Montessori principles fostering holistic development, creativity, and character formation.
  • Skill Development Programs Tailoring, Montessori training, Silambam martial arts, volleyball, arts, music, and chess empowering rural youth and women with livelihood skills and cultural enrichment.
  • Goshala A sanctuary for 25+ rescued cows, ensuring compassionate care, veterinary support, and eco-friendly initiatives such as biogas generation and organic farming.
  • Community Health & Sustainability Free clinics, ambulance services, solar-powered infrastructure, rainwater harvesting, tree plantations, and eco-conscious operations that embody sustainable living.
