On May 7th 2023, Akshaya Trust inaugurated its fifth free old age home for the destitute senior citizens. This new home situated at Velappanchavadi, near Thiruverkadu temple arch will house 120 senior citizens taking the total number of senior citizens supported to 300. Shri.Poochi S Murugan, Chairman of Tamil Nadu Housing Board and Vice President of South Indian Artists’ Association was the Chief Guest. Shri C.S. Gopala Krishnan, CMO/ Director of Hyundai Motors India Limited, Sri.Sivanka Lankalingam, JMD of Lanson Toyota and Kalaimanai. Smt. Devayani Rajakumaran, Cine artist were the Guests of Honors. The function was followed by a series of cultural programmes including Bharatha Natyam, light music, magic show and western dance.
